The Brainery

Our primary school curriculum is closely aligned to the MOE syllabus. Our focus for our lower primary students is to build a strong foundation in arithmetic and inspire the joy of learning math. With our upper primary students, our aim is to ensure that they are equipped with the skills to tackle the essentials of the math curriculum which includes, being able to think logically and critically using heuristics to solve complex words problems involving various concepts and tackle a wide range of questions. Above all, we hope that in that process, they gain confidence in the subject and feel the enjoyment in the subject.

Our Brainery Science primary curriculum is aligned with the MOE curriculum and is designed by experienced ex-MOE teachers to meet the age-developmental needs of the students. Specifically, our Brainery Science primary curriculum is designed to help students make connection between the Scientific Concepts and the real world, sparkling interest and curiosity about the world around them. Through the use of the Critical Inquiry Model, the students will be challenged to think critically to understand and apply the scientific concepts to address a wide range of questions. The students will be taught on how to use the scientific terms accurately to answer the questions. Through regular application and practice, the students will deepen their understanding and enhance their confidence in the subject. Coupled with timely and customised feedback from the tutor, the students will be able to acquire the Scientific concepts effectively and applying them correctly to tackle the examination questions, including data response questions.

Our Brainery English primary curriculum is designed to gain mastery of core language skills as they participate actively in the learning of English Language through authentic and relevant contexts and themes. Students will be taught to write creatively, communicate confidently and comprehend accurately so as to develop a deep love for the use of English Language. Coupled with timely and customised feedback from the tutor, the students will develop a commanding use of the English Language, allowing them to do well in the examinations and access learning in other subjects.

The Brainery's secondary programme is specifically formulated to identify and bridge gaps in students' learning. By cultivating a robust understanding of the English paper. The Brainery primes students to achieve consistent and stellar results. The Brainery disavows teaching via rote learning. We believe in nurturing the right dispositions to set students up for success in and beyond the classroom. Students at The Brainery are taught to ask and answer critical thinking questions, and to engage vigorously with important social, environmental and moral issues in our world today. We believe that the ability to contemplate upon these matters with a keen and analytical mind not only guarantees that our students thoroughly enjoy our lessons but also reinforces the development of content and language mastery.

Our Brainery Chemistry curriculum is designed to help students appreciate the significance of Chemistry in everyday life. The students will be stretched to deepen the understanding of Chemistry through higher order and challenging questions. Importantly, to hone the interests and build a strong foundational knowledge in Chemistry.
