Importance of English
English is used as the working language in common places of Singapore and most parts of the world. A student being proficient in English not only eases the learning process throughout the academic journey but also helps in picking up concepts in other areas such as Mathematics and Science.
How does SSLC conduct its classes?
Keeping to a small class size teacher-student ratio of 1:10, our educators ensure that each child is given maximum attention to identify weaknesses in Grammar & Vocabulary, correct bad habits with the use of exam answering technique and reinforce important Grammar concepts.
English
Our programme mainly focuses on sections in English Paper 2, teaching students how to strategies & improve their answering skills for various sections such as Synthesis & Transformation & Comprehension Open-ended.
Our lessons enable students to:
1 Comprehend a range of texts at the literal and inferential levels.
2 Understand implied meaning, and make judgement and evaluation, by reading and viewing closely and critically.
3 Understand how contextual use of lexical and grammatical items shapes meaning.
4 Use correct grammar, spelling and punctuation, and the appropriate use of vocabulary in given contexts.

Importance of Mathematics
Mathematics is an excellent vehicle for the development and improvement of a student’s intellectual competence in logical reasoning, spatial visualization, analysis and abstract thought. It is also particularly useful, ranging from a national level of supporting economic activities to an individual level of making important personal financial decisions.
How does SSLC conduct its classes?
Keeping to a small class size teacher-student ratio of 1:10, our educators ensure that each child is given maximum attention to identify weaknesses in concepts, eliminate careless mistakes through exam answering technique and reinforce major concepts, especially in major topics like Fractions, Ratio and Percentage.
Mathematics
Our programme aims to enable each student to acquire and apply key mathematical concepts in both classroom and real-world maths problems and also, nurture in them positivity towards mathematics.
Our lessons enable students to:
1 Understand basic concepts of all topics in accordance with MOE syllabus.
2 Develop mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills and applying these skills to formulate and solve problems.
3 Familiarize standard and non-routine mathematics questions.
4 Instill a think-out-of-the-box attitude.

Science is being used by everyone on a daily basis, from observation skills to invention and development of a product. It is extremely crucial for students to inculcate important scientific skills for them to keep pace with the technological advancements in the modern world.

Keeping to a small class size teacher-student ratio of 1:10, our educators ensure that each child is given maximum attention to identify weaknesses in MCQ and Open-ended sections, reduce wrong use of key words through exam answering technique and reinforce major concepts using compressed notes.
Science
Our programme aims to equip each student to develop reasoning and analytical skills, and to have an open and inquisitive mind, nurturing in them a positive attitude towards Science.
Our lessons enable students to:
1 Understand all conceptual genres in accordance with MOE syllabus.
2 Equip basic skills to identify questions and draw evidence-based conclusions.
3 Practice standard and non-standard Science questions.
4 Accentuate keywords for Open-ended Science questions.
5 Develop habits of mind and attitudes necessary for scientific inquiry.
