1.Classical Piano Course
With a strong focus on sight-reading and
technique from the start, the Classical Piano Course is a great introduction to
piano for everyone from 5 to 50! Children are actively encouraged to learn
independently in these formal music lessons and adults have the freedom to
advance at a comfortable pace. Music students with prior qualifications and
experience can also enroll at their last level achieved for a refresher or to
further their musical studies. Beginner to lower grade classes can include
theory of music within the allotted lesson times. Lessons are conducted
individually and are geared towards grading achievements and qualifications
provided by accredited examinations from the UK^.
^Sonare offers Piano examinations under
the Associated Board of The Royal Schools Of Music (ABRSM) as well as London
College of Music (LCM).
Both boards are accredited by The Office
of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) in the UK. Post-grade 8
studies are available upon completion/ request.

2.Leisure Piano Course
The Leisure Piano Course inspires one to
learn and perform their favourite songs in the classical or jazz and pop genre.
Absolute beginners will be taught basic technique and sight-reading from a
classical background to support their learning and performance on advanced
pieces. Sessions are conducted individually and taught at a pace that is most
conducive to the enjoyment of the learning journey for the student regardless
of age. Although there is no pressure to take exams, they are still an option
for students seeking recognition and accomplishment for their efforts.

3.Electric / Rock Guitar Course
From adjusting settings on an amp to
handling the instrument with good technique, the Electric/ Rock Guitar Course
covers all the essentials of electric guitar playing. Genre specific chord
shapes, techniques and licks are part of this informative and exciting program.
Theory knowledge necessary to supplement successful improvisation are also a
focal point. Classes are conducted individually and upon mastery of the basics,
students can choose to pursue exams in the Electric Guitar or Rock Guitar
Syllabus provided by the Registry of Guitar Tutors (RGT). Sonare recommends 8
years old as an ideal age to begin formal guitar lessons but can accept younger
students on a case-by-case basis.

University of West London (UWL) are an available option for students seeking
grading and qualifications in their music studies.

4.Violin Course
Sonare offers a comprehensive Violin
Course that is grounded in discipline and musicality. From posture to technique
to intonation, one is introduced to the entire spectrum of skills required to
achieve artistry on this beautiful yet often challenging instrument. Students
will be required to purchase an instrument upon enrolment as they are not
provided in class. It is equally important to note that the acquiring of a
personal Violin will greatly aid the learning process as well as help sustain
interest in learning. Lessons are conducted individually and are geared towards
grading achievements and qualifications provided by accredited examinations
from the UK^.

7.Electronic Organ Course
The Electronic Organ Course aims to
combine musical theory knowledge along with practical skills on this grand
instrument. From church music to classical organ music to evergreen pop songs,
the versatility of the instrument is undeniable. Students will be taught based
on the “American Organ Method” and will cover all practical aspects of organ
playing from melody to bass pedaling as well as gaining theory knowledge
required to perform the music appropriately. Lessons are conducted in group
setting with a maximum of 6 students per class.

8.Electronic Keyboard Course
The Electronic Keyboard Course allows one
to play a multitude of sounds and textures simultaneously in spite of the
limitation of ten fingers including rhythms, harmony and melody. Students
enrolled in the course will have to master keyboard technical skills as well as
manipulation of synthesized sounds within the keyboard's range while gaining
the necessary theory knowledge to aid their music-making. The Electronic
Keyboard Course is conducted in either individual or group setting (Max. 6
students per class) according to one’s preference.

9.Ukulele Course
Quickly gaining in popularity since the
early 2000s, Sonare Music School now offers Ukulele classes to meet the growing
demand to learn this instrument. From strumming to plucking, note-reading and
aural training, solo and group playing, all aspects of Ukulele playing will be
covered by our experienced Ukulele instructor. Sonare now also offers
accredited examinations for solo Ukulele playing up to grade three level.

10.Theory Of Music Course
The Theory of Music Course caters to
anyone with a specific interest in music theory or a passion to understand what
makes music tick. Sonare recommends students of practical level grade 5 and
above to study Theory of Music separate from their practical classes to better
facilitate learning and give sufficient attention to each aspect of music
studies. Theory of Music Courses are conducted either individually or in a
group setting based on one’s preference as well as staff availability.
