1.Soccer
Shaws Little League Soccer is a developmentally
appropriate kids soccer programme in Singapore. Our soccer programme follows
the same principles of our multisport programme with a high emphasis on
children's participation, skill development, constructive play and lots of fun.
It is one of our most popular kids sport programmes for children's development.

At Shaws Little League, a fun
soccer programme is one where:

Children are always kept engaged
through various skill-based activities;

Children have lots of opportunity
to develop their fitness, ball skills, passing skills, goal shooting and
goal-keeping, tackling and defending and soccer game sense;

sportsmanship is more important than scores and results;

The 8-sessions for toddler sport
and kids sport in Singapore must be completed in eight weeks; the 12-sessions
in 13 weeks; and 20-sessions in 23 weeks (excluding closure days and public
holidays). The one year is capped at 48 sessions. Make-up sessions are
available and it is also possible to attend alternative children's sport
sessions other than your regular session. Please contact us should you wish to

2.Cricket
Shaws Little League also conducts a
cricket programme for children between the ages of five and 12.
Our group classes or individual
classes aim to improve skill development in all areas of cricket – batting,
spin and pace bowling, fielding, and running between the wickets. Our programme
is based on teaching the fundamentals of cricket whilst allowing children to
develop their own style.
With our developmentally
appropriate curriculum and our age-appropriate equipment (all equipment is
provided), your child is sure to have lots of fun, develop fantastic cricket
skills and most importantly, the love for cricket.
Our programme is nothing like the
cucumber sandwiches and tea breaks, but instead runs in the same manner as our
regular sessions with an emphasis of having fun, high participation and skill
acquisition. In a nutshell, we want all the children to bat like Virat Kohli or
AB De Villiers, bowl like Mitchell Starc, and field like Kane Williamson.
Regardless of your child’s cricketing ability, we are sure that they will benefit
from our cricket programme.
At present, our cricket coaching
sessions are conducted at our Kallang location on Tuesdays and Fridays at 5pm
and Saturdays at 12 noon.
In addition to the mid-week
coaching sessions, we also conduct our super cricket matches on weekends. As
you will know a full game of cricket takes quite a long time and not all
players are involved in the game at all times. Our super cricket programme
ensures that all children are involved in the game at all times and get to have
a chance at batting, bowling, fielding and wicketkeeping. Children will not
only have a fun time but also know how many runs they scored, their bowling
figures and how many catches and runouts they achieved.

3.Tennis
Also conducts a tennis programme
for kids. The objective of our tennis programme is to get children to just
enjoy hitting the ball over the net – after all isn’t that the whole idea of
tennis? Obviously, we also make the children work hard and move quickly to
cover the court and we spend a lot of time on the basics of tennis –
anticipating, watching the ball, getting ready, moving to the ball and letting
rip.
All equipment is provided –
racquets of various sizes, mini-nets, lots of tennis balls and the kids
favourite – our ball machine.

4.Multisport
Our very popular multisport
programme exposes children to the following kids sports: volleyball, tennis,
basketball, baseball, rugby, hockey, cricket, soccer, golf and athletics. In
each session, children play two sports and the sports change each week. So it
is just like having the summer and winter sports season all rolled up into one
great programme.
All equipment is provided, but we
don’t mind if you bring in your favourite baseball bat, tennis racquet, or
rugby tackle bag. After all, it’s all
about having fun and making sure that the children are always willing to play
and learn.
As the children develop and
progress, the activities in each of the sports change accordingly. The
multisport programme comprises a wide range of games and activities that allow
children to:

Learn the various sports skills;

Develop physical confidence and coordinated
body movements;
·
Improve their physical fitness and
wellbeing;
·
Develop hand-eye co-ordination,
ball sense and game sense;
·
Develop teamwork and social skills;
·
Play in modified games and
activities;
·
Have a stepping stone towards
ongoing participation in sport and life;
·
Develop a competitive spirit and
understand about winning and losing;
·
Understand about fair-play,
sportsmanship, and appropriate sports conduct

5.Golf
Shaws Little League conducts a golf
programme for children.
We aim to help each child improve
their swing with our advanced golf software. It is fun for players of any skill
level.
Our coaches help students develop
and practice the fundamentals of the golf swing in a fun environment. Like all
of Shaws Little League classes, these aren’t your typical lessons, and that’s
what makes them so fun.
This class focuses on the
fundamentals of your golf swing and we spend a lot of time on the basics of
form and focus.
All equipment is provided,
including our advanced golf software.
