Children between the ages of 6 months and 24 months are considered babies/infants.
Babies are born with more than 70 neonatal reflexes. These reflexes allow them to respond to stimuli with motor responses. As newborns’ reflexes weaken during the first six months, they need assistance to develop new movements of voluntary movements to allow them to explore the water safely and in a fun way.
Taking a swim is beneficial to babies in developing their motor, coordination, lung capacity, and balance. Early swimming also helps a baby develop a sense of self-esteem, confidence, and independence. It is also beneficial for developing literacy and numeracy skills.
- Our baby swimming lessons are designed to prepare and ease your child into learning how to swim properly. As they grow, they will be able to pick up strokes at a much faster rate during children’s swimming lessons if a good foundation is laid during the lessons.
