Play-based learning method in preschool

Our preschool programmes are supplemented by a wide range of specially designed creative and interactive activities targeting specific age groups from 15 months - 4 years old. The curriculum caters to varying needs and interests.

We provide a nurturing environment and offer the opportunity for young children to develop physical, social and cognitive skills according to their individual learning styles. Each child is considered unique in temperament and rate of development. All children are respected as individuals and encouraged to learn and develop at their own pace.

We strive to achieve positive and supportive relationships with families based on open communication and sharing of knowledge and skills.

The Kinderplay Programme is a bilingual course, based on an integrated thematic approach to Early Childhood Education. We deliver a stimulating and wide variety of activities for children to explore and experience.

Our programme carefully integrates language arts in English and Chinese, music and movement, art and crafts, as well as mathematics. It is also structured to help children develop their creativity, individuality and self-confidence. All our activities are comprehensive, fun and carefully planned to stimulate the young minds and give preschoolers a great head start as they prepare for mainstream education.

Our dedicated staff plan a wide range of interactive and hands-on learning activities to ensure that our children develop in all areas according to the requirements from the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum for children aged 16mths to 3 years.

"MASTERHAND CHINESE" is designed using materials based on the Chinese language curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education, supplemented with children's literature written by renowned Asst Professor Woon Wee Lee of National Institute of Education. Our teaching method is a combination of the latest pedagogy adopted by Singapore and China, uniquely formulated to help local Chinese and non-Chinese pupils learn and master Chinese language in a systematic and effective way.

The MasterHand English Department offers a wide range of specialised enrichment workshops and integrated language programmes from Preschool to adults and teacher training, tailored to meet the needs of students and schools in Singapore and overseas.

Our programmes are conducted throughout the year during school terms and holidays. While our workshops differ in their focus in areas such as reading, writing, listening, and speaking; the central aim of our department is to help the learner master English Language progressively. Students will work through multiple application channels and in turn learn to write effectively and communicate with expression and confidence.

Teachers and specialist instructors are trained in the international standard of English speaking and have unique skills in teaching through drama, music, creative arts, puppetry, and dramatic literature. The MasterHand Math & Science Department offers a variety of integrated programmes and schemes designed for both local and international students, with the aim of enhancing mathematical and scientific thinking skills.

Our programmes commence with appropriate assessments, to highlight student's skills and areas where improvement is needed. Our qualified teachers will initially recommend a set of exercises for students to study, to ensure progressive development of skills and abilities in the early phase each programme.
