DESCRIPTION
Our Creative Art Classes serve to nurture
our students’ creativity and curiosity, and provide opportunities for
self-expression through various art forms and techniques. During the lessons,
students learn basic art elements and application, art appreciation,
self-exploration, colour theories, sketching, picture compositions and design
concepts.
Students use materials like acrylic,
water colour, oil and soft pastel and clay to make their imagination come alive.

2.Creative Writing
DESCRIPTION
Using our curated writing technique,
SIRBoSE, our primary school students excel in creative writing with many of
them becoming natural writers. With SIRBoSE, our students gain confidence in
expressing themselves with their own stories.
Students brainstorm and collaborate
during our enrichment classes, to develop a storyboard related to the visuals.
They are then guided on using SIRBoSE to plan their story, which includes a
booster to highlight the climax of their plot.
Students’ storyboards are frequently
evaluated to ensure that they are logical and relevant. To infuse real-world
scenarios into the creative writing, we integrate current affairs into our
topics, showing students that writing ideas are all around us. What is creative
writing without a dose of real-life excitement?

3.English
DESCRIPTION
Our creative writing classes complement
our English tuition classes by boosting primary school students’ confidence in
their grammar, vocabulary, editing and comprehension skills. Techniques like
free-flowing association to handle cloze passages and classroom discussions to
answer inferential questions are the norm in our tuition classes. Our
open-ended comprehension questions are peppered with current affairs passages
and students digest the latest news by diving into the passages.
We also train students in the Listening
Comprehension and Oral components with mock tests and oral practices. Students
work on polishing their listening and oral skills with forum discussions under
the guidance of the teachers. Our students’ confidence levels are always
boosted way before the examinations!

4.Science
DESCRIPTION
Science lessons are not simply about
content mastery – our science students are taught how to use the technique of
choice, evidence and reason (CER) to answer examination questions. Primary
school students are also taught how to use appropriate keywords to score well
in Section B of the examination paper.
‘I do and I understand’. Under the
supervision of our experienced teachers, Science concepts are reinforced with
hands-on experiments and students are guided on how to apply the scientific
method to the answering of examination questions.
Our Science tuition classes are also
available online and students conduct guided experiments with their very own
personal experiment kits!
