2.ABRSM Music Theory Course
Our Music
Theory Course is designed based on the Associated Board of Royal School of
Music (ABRSM) Graded Examination Syllabus.
Lessons are conducted on a weekly basis:
45 - 60
minutes for Individual class
Learn 2
Play Music Academy also offers Group ABRSM Music Theory course for students
who are interested to take up theory lessons with your friend(s). This course
is suitable for age 5 and above. To manage your goals and ability, assessment
will be conducted by the teacher on the first lesson.
Lessons are conducted on a weekly basis:
60 - 75
minutes for Group class

3.Graded Electric Guitar Course (Rockschool)

Play Music Academy offers Graded Electric Guitar course to teenagers and adults
that aspire to be rock and pop guitarists. Register for our internationally recognized
Graded Electric Guitar course today! Students are prepared for Graded Electric
Guitar examinations of Rockschool Limited (RSL). Rockschool qualifications are
fully accredited by every UK regulatory body. They also work with some of the
best music and contemporary art schools, colleges and institutions across the
world.

an ABRSM certificate is a rewarding experience.
Learn 2
Play Music Academy takes emphasis on a dynamic approach to meet the learning
styles and needs of each individual. The understanding of music will benefit
the child in areas of music performance, theory and growth in memory skills.
Lessons are conducted on a weekly basis:
45 minutes
for Beginners, Grade 1 to 5 (inclusive of music theory)
Grade 5 and
above is at 1 hour

5.Graded Violin Course for Young Children (Age 5 & Above)
Learn 2
Play Music Academy offers violin lessons to beginning students. The curriculum
features both familiar songs and specially designed exercises, carefully paced
to successfully start players on their musical journey. It also provides students
with a variety of materials to develop total musicianship, even at the
beginning stages.
Students
are prepared for graded examinations of The Associated Board Royal Schools of

6.Early Music Learners (18 months to 7 years old)
Early Music
Learners is a fun and educational music-based programme for children aged 18
months to 7 years old. Classes include Toddlers’ Music Playgroup (Parent-Child)
for 18-36 months, Pre-schoolers’ Piano Course (Parent-Child) for 3.5-4 years
old, Kids’ Junior Piano Course for 5-7 years old & Kids' Junior Violin
Course for 5-7 years old.
The maximum
class size of 5 students allows our teachers to individually help students’
weak areas and advance their strengths.
Toddlers’ Music Playgroup (18 to 36 months
old)
This is a
fun music and movement course where children will learn to sing, dance, play
percussion instruments and keyboard. Children will explore rhythm, pitch, tempo
and various styles of music in class.
In a casual
environment, parents will get to bond, experience musical learning journeys
with their child, and participate in the activities together.
Upon
completion of this course, children would be better prepared for the
development of their music learning.
Pre-schoolers’ Piano Course (3.5 to 4
years old) / Kids’ Junior Piano Course (5 to 7 years old)
This
developmental music course will enable students to learn to play the piano.
Children are taught to be aware of a steady beat in different styles and
speeds, to improvise movements and rhythmic patterns to the beat. This course
also teaches reading and listening skills to identify various sounds, speed,
dynamics and music notations based on the UK ABRSM syllabus.
Good habits
such as the right sitting posture, fingerings and hands position will also be
established. This will enhance the quality and richness of their playing.
Children also gain confidence as they practice and develop their skills.
Upon
completion of this course, students will develop beginners’ piano foundation
and may proceed to pursue our individual Graded Piano Beginners, Level Two Course.
Kids’ Junior Violin Course (5 to 7 years
old)
This
6-month violin course will teach students to play the violin in an interactive
and innovative environment. Through this course, students will learn enjoyable
and intuitive practice methods that will help them to pick up violin skills
quickly.
Children
will also develop essential musical skills, including foundational music theory
and aural training. This will give them a head start to develop a good ear to
recognize musical sounds, encourage musical expression and nurture an ability
to interact musically with others.
Upon
completion of the course, children will develop strong and accurate beginners'
foundational techniques for violin playing.
