Dance Arts Studio

Dance Arts follows the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus which is the largest examining body for classical ballet in the world, as well as the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing ballet syllabus (CSTD), a prominent examine body for classical ballet in S.E Asia.
Both Syllabi offer examinations annually, and they are conducted by external examiners sent down from the Academy.
Students are selected and entered for the examinations by both our RAD and CSTD registered teachers, which are held at Dance Arts Singapore.
All successful students receive a certificate from the examining body.
Dance Arts has achieved a 100 % successful passing rate for all our entered candidates.

2) Enrollment is subject to the approval of the ballet instructor after the trial class

Jazz dance is a popular dance for children. It is one of the most popular genres of dance, jazz has remained an essential part of most choreography seen in Broadway productions and Musical Theatre.
The children’s jazz classes focus on building up a strong foundation, with benefits including work on improved body co-ordination, musicality, rhythm and overall strengthening of the body.
1)  All new students are advised to contact the studio before coming down for the class
2) Students should come comfortably attired in loose or stretchy clothing. Suitable footwear includes jazz shoes, foot thongs or bare foot

A percussive style of dance – tap at Dance Arts follows the Al Gilbert syllabus. Following the style of the syllabus, each step is broken down in a systematic way, making learning exact, easy and fun. Each level in Tap is progressive and classes are offered from Beginners to Advanced levels.
1) Classes on Saturdays
2) All new students are advised to contact us to book a class before coming down
3) Students will be recommended a suitable class based on their prior tap experience
4) Comfortable clothing is recommended. Tap shoes are required

Teens K-Pop classes at Dance Arts Singapore are high energy, fun and creative, offering the latest moves from popular K-Pop stars and music videos!
With the genre being heavily influenced by numerous music videos and performances, classes will work towards recreating the same style and maybe the same dance routine of some of the most popular K-Pop songs.
1) Classes available for teens on Saturday afternoons.

Dance Arts Singapore provides ballet classes for teens. These classes are tailored to introduce ballet to Teens who are interested to learn the genre but never took any formal training while growing up.

When appropriate, students are also given the option to enter CSTD examinations, and would be entered by our CSTD registered teacher. All successful students receive a ballet certificate from the examining body. Dance Arts has achieved a 100% successful passing rate for all our entered candidates.

Teens Jazz combines the elements of ballet, modern and jazz dance techniques. Classes comprise of a warm-up, across-the-floor technique exercises and a dance sequence that is built upon each month.

A large focus of the choreography is to interpret the essence, lyrics and percussive features of the music. Join us as we dance to the tunes of Adele, The Script, songs from Glee, and many more!
