Developed with the aim of
providing a better and more meaningful art learning journey for your child,
ARTmazing is the new art programme that exposes your child to drawing media,
designed to allow greater creative expression. With a teaching emphasis on
technique and creativity, your child will learn to express his experiences in a
colourful and creative manner.
Artmazing offers an exciting
new pedagogic environment where students can achieve the highest possible
artistic and intellectual standards as individuals. Crestar has adopted the
inter-disciplinary approach by infusing other subject areas into the art lessons.
Students are exposed to a wide variety of mediums during lessons.
The average class size is 6 –
8 students. This allows the teacher to have sufficient time and attention for
every child.

2.Youth Learners - Secondary School (Secondary 1 – Secondary 4)
Our
Secondary classes are taught holistically and updated regularly in accordance
to MOE’s requirements. Blending current topics, idioms and proverbs to enhance
the learning experience, our lessons cover composition, reading comprehension
and grammar, to boost students’ confidence in the usage of the language, as
well as their writing skills and analytical capabilities. Our Chinese oral
lessons also help children master their oratory and presentation skills.

3.DANCE PROGRAMMES - Contemporary Dance
Ages
10 years & above
A poetic blend of modern
dance and classical ballet, Contemporary Dance is an abstract and interpretive
dance form that communicates emotions.
Our Contemporary curriculum
is developed by a highly-credentialed international dancer and accomplished
choreographer. Through the classes, students will acquire deeper understanding
of body alignment, heightened awareness of movement in space and greater
strength in execution through use of dynamics.
Every student will achieve
greater confidence in self-expression while developing strong dynamic control
of their bodies, expanding their dance vocabulary and exploring varied floor
patterns, movements and choreography.

4.Music
Extremely
beneficial to children in more than one way, music has been known to enhance
brain function and structure, improve speech development and reading, develop
math skills, spatial intelligence and ability.
That’s not all. Studies have
shown that music improves memory skills, concentration and attention. Like
playing sports, music also helps develop motor skills and increases
coordination. In large group performances, children learn to work together as a
team and develop a sense of empathy which enables them to better tune into
people’s emotions.
Above all, mastering music
leads to a sense of pride and achievement, and helps children to learn
self-discipline. It’s a way of expression, an avenue to unleash creativity and
to stay inspired.
Violin
Young children learn to play
the violin in the same way they learn language. Crestar taps into a method that
teaches music based on the principles of language acquisition. The principles
stem from listening, constant repetition, reading and learning alongside other
children. Parental support and encouragement also play an important role.
We also believe in teaching
the concept of ‘character first, ability second’. Aside from mastering a
musical instrument, we believe in embracing your child, nurturing his character
and love for music.
Piano
Crestar’s piano lessons are
designed to develop social and music skills in your child that will stay with
them for life. Led by our established team of trained instructors, our
programme facilitates the effective learning of essential music elements that
include musical and rhythmic awareness, hand-eye coordination, hearing, singing

5.Chinese Enrichment @ Primary Level
Lower
Primary (Primary 1 – Primary 3)
Our Lower Primary classes are
based on MOE’s Primary School Chinese Curriculum (Normal & Higher Chinese)
and are always a step ahead of the schools’ lesson plans, helping our children
better understand the lessons prior to being taught in school.
Our children are encouraged
to discuss and think through local and global issues through news clippings
that are curated by our teachers. This helps enhance their comprehension,
mental, presentation and listening skills as they confidently share and their
views with their peers.
Upper Primary (Primary 4 –
Primary 6)
Our Upper Primary classes are
based on the school’s textbooks, utilizing unique teaching resources and tools
to enhance the children’s understanding of each chapter, as well as specific
Chinese characters, words, sentences and paragraphs within.
Chinese Bridge uses

Crestar Learning Centre by abacus experts from Taiwan, our Abacus and Mental
Arithmetic Course is designed to maximize every child’s mental agility. With
the use of the right techniques that tackle complicated mental calculation, the
programme sharpens memory and concentration abilities.

7.Little Learners - Preschool (Nursery 2 – Kindergarten 2)
We
select children’s favourite themes and design our learning materials around
these topics to create interesting content. Through highly engaging drama
games, we make learning Chinese fun.
In every lesson, our teachers
teach your child the correct pronunciation and articulation of Chinese words so
they can recognise, read and use them. This is achieved through rhymes and
rhythms that reinforce children’s understanding of the words. Each lesson also
includes a story that demonstrates how to use the words meaningfully and
appropriately.

8.Creative Chinese & Drama (Primary Level)
Designed
for 7 – 9 years old based on the MOE curriculum and the Youth Chinese Test
(YCT), an international standardized Chinese test. We use lively, interesting
games and drama to instill in students a love for Chinese.
Stories and literature will
be used in each lesson to reinforce the learning of word recognition and
language usage.
Students will be able to
acquire the skills of Chinese pinyin and reading, and master 600-800 words,
grammar and sentence structures required in the MOE syllabus. Students can
aspire to attain YCT Levels 3 to 4 by the end of the course.

9.DANCE PROGRAMMES - Rhythmic Gymnastic Classes Singapore
Ages

In collaboration with JACPA –
a leading children’s sports education organisation in Japan – Crestar’s
Rhythmic Gymnastics programme is a graceful combination of ballet, gymnastics,
dance and apparatus-play. To create seamless choreographed routines that
encourage artistic and fluid gymnastic movements, apparatuses such as ribbons,
balls, hoops and clubs are used.
Designed from various dance
styles and exercise regimes built around expressive movement, our Rhythmic
Gymnastics programme promotes strength, tenacity and flexibility while
developing finesse, motor and body coordination skills.

10.ENRICHMENT PROGRAMMES - English Speech & Drama
Ages

Our Speech & Drama
programme brings every child into a world of creativity and imagination, where
colourful story characters and animated puppets come to life. Through every dramatically-engaging lesson,
children develop social skills and confidence through group drama and skits, as
well as acquire clear articulation through poetry recitals and fun tongue
twisters.
With focus on stories, music,
props and characters as well as communication and conversation, children will
begin their use of language in a stimulating yet natural setting. They will
also develop independence, self-awareness, fine motor skills, confidence and
social skills.
Through a
thematically-structured curriculum, older children learn to create, narrate and

12.DANCE PROGRAMMES - Ballet Dance Class Singapore
Ages
30 years & below
Poise, grace and confidence –
these are what your child will achieve through our ballet programme. Beyond
graceful movements, the physical and sensory experiences from learning ballet
will enhance their physical, social and emotional development, while building a
stronger foundation of mental focus, discipline and perseverance.
One of the largest dance
schools in Singapore, Crestar’s dance principals and teachers come qualified,
with vast knowledge and rich experience. They undergo rigorous training and
selection process. Coupled with a dance curriculum developed by an

Bebe Ballet will instill

Classical Ballet

of street dance, Hip Hop allows a dancer the freedom of self-expression and
ability to transform energy into creativity.
Students will learn the
techniques and acute movements of Hip Hop, such as gliding, jerking, popping
and locking, while accompanied by the latest and most popular of pop songs.
Hip Hop is an excellent form
of exercise that offers multiple health benefits for children. Aside from being
great cardio, it strengthens muscles and flexibility. The health benefits of
hip hop aren’t just physical — exercise also relieves stress and builds
confidence. Music can also decrease anxiety and depression. A recent study
showed that hip hop dance could improve certain social and cognitive skills in
individuals.

Thinking Cap Science nurtures this curiosity by allowing them to ask questions and develop their awareness of the world around them as they explore and investigate it.Studies have shown the importance of allowing students to think and ask questions, without the rush to get the ‘right answers’.
