sure they master the topic summary with Maths steps and rules before moving on.
Mind maps are employed and the hierarchy of maths challenges for each topic
needs to be learnt properly before proceeding to the next level. Memory works
this way: Retention-Retrieval approach.
Concepts in Maths need to be learnt
systematically and sequentially. A firm foundation helps so when signs of
confusion with following procedures happen, seek good help. Here we focus on
our kids understanding the basics before proceeding on, and initially we take
their pace until they can run along independently.
We encourage problem-solving in all
aspects by giving real life situations to add practicality. There is more than
one way to solve a Maths problem sum but we help them solve difficult sums by
showing them more efficient approaches. So, heuristics is shown even at early
ages and questions are seen as puzzles to be solved.
We make Maths learning fun and
meaningful. We get our kids excited about the subject and show how learning
this skill helps in our day-to-day plus how beneficial it can be for our
future. Educational games supplement our curriculum at every level in order to
bring out the fun and sometimes, the simplicity in learning the subject.

Science is an exploratory subject and
humans are curious creatures. However, most students face difficulties not on
the side of exploration but in interpreting tables, graphs and flow- charts.
This hinders their understanding and by not re-reading to confirm their own
understanding, students make careless mistakes and lose unnecessary marks.

At ALC, our teacher deploys a unique
Science learning model that will,
1. Fortify their understanding by
providing notes to supplement our lessons
2. Provide students with sections that
are challenging like graphs and tables while they learn to understand these

4.Chinese

teaching Chinese, our teachers have the domain know-how to help your child master
the subject effectively.
Does your child find learning Chinese
difficult? Or, do they simply lose interest while struggling with the language?
While we converse in English on a daily
basis at home, at work or at school, we cannot afford to ignore Chinese. Not
because the kids need to sit for a Chinese exam, but because a strong command

Our Additional Maths classes focus on
students who have difficulty managing the more complex Mathematics subject such
as understanding angles and trigonometry.
Our Unique Learning Model
At ALC, we break down the boring task in
Maths into an exciting topical portion by,
Demonstrating using graphing software how
the graphs of those functions are drawn. Get the students to describe how the
function converts a number on the horizontal axis into a number on the vertical
axis.
Emphasizing that trigonometric angles are
vector quantities with direction, whereas basic angles are scalar quantities
with no direction.
Explaining how basic angles and
trigonometric angles are related in every quadrant.
Using graphing software to show that
without a range, there can be an infinite number of possible answers.
Demonstrating a step-by-step process of
how a trigonometric equation is to be solved such that all possible answers
within range can be obtained.

7.Secondary Maths

teaching Secondary Level Maths, our teachers have the domain know-how to help
your child master the subject effectively.
When solving problems, students find it
difficult to switch from using numbers only (like in primary school) to using
algebra. Some students are unable to deduce why resulting in an incorrect
answer. They have trouble interpreting angles measured in radians, and prefer
to interpret them in degrees. Yet they have trouble converting angles between
radians and degrees.

We teach chemical formula deduction using
study materials which demonstrate a step-by-step process for students to follow
so that students facing it for the first time are not lost. We also provide

We teach how chemical equations are to be
written by breaking them down into simpler steps, which reduce the steepness of
